Paying Taxes

Handling Your Income Taxes

“In this world nothing is certain except death and taxes.”

-- Benjamin Franklin

Tax form

Taxes are part of life, so you might as well get used to them. You already pay tax whenever you purchase something in the store, but, as you begin working and earning money, you will also have to be aware of your obligation to pay federal and state taxes.

We live in a very complicated society that costs a lot of money to keep running smoothly. The taxes you pay go toward many things, from roads, to schools, to social services, and the military, just to name just a few. So think of those things that the government provides for us, that you like and agree with, and you will find some comfort in knowing you are helping to support those things.
